Colorado Shines Level 4 Rated Early Learning Center

Welcome to the Junior Preschool Room! In this room, we care for children who are 2 to 3 years old. Two teachers can care for up to 8 children each day in this classroom. This classroom is designed to be a transitional room to the preschool room. Concepts and curriculum that become the focus in the preschool room, are introduced in this classroom. Our Teachers are flexible in the day to support this transitional stage all through play-based learning. Communication skills and social-emotional development are key aspects into the daily curriculum of this classroom. The children participate in a teacher lead circle time each morning. They sing songs using sign language, read books, and do group gross motor activities. The children start to recognize colors, letters, numbers, and shapes, and participate in active learning activities.
